Training and Guided Rides for Mountain Bikers
(Date Posted 27/07/10)
Established by Charlie Palmer, MTB Pembrokeshire is an exciting new business that aims to help people make the most of their bikes whilst getting a healthy dose of fresh, country air.
MTB Pembrokeshire, based in the market town of Narberth at the heart of the county, provides mountain bike skills training and guided rides in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside and the world class trail centres of West Wales.
MTB Pembrokeshire came from Charlie’s long held passion for mountain biking. “I got hooked on Mountain Biking when I brought my first mountain bike - a heavy, 18 speed hardtail - back from the USA in 1990. I haven’t stopped since then!”
Charlie has ridden all over the world and really appreciates just how fantastic Wales is for Mountain Biking. “There are so many opportunities for novices, intermediate riders as well as those old hands like myself - Wales is such a great location for mountain bikers of all ages and abilities.”
MTB Pembrokeshire offers a number of options depending on age and experience.
For novice riders (children or adults) there are various courses, ranging from a taster session to find out what mountain biking is all about, through to skills development programmes that will help you learn the tricks and moves you need to make the most of the trail; all based in Canaston Wood, Pembrokeshire.
For the more experienced or intermediate riders, MTB Pembrokeshire offers guided rides in the Preseli Hills and Brechfa.
